Xurya, the pioneer company of the solar power plant (PLTS) rental scheme with zero upfront costs, has announced a significant achievement on its 6th anniversary. Xurya has successfully built more than 100 MW of solar power capacity across nearly 200 projects throughout Indonesia. Through Xurya's zero upfront cost PLTS rental scheme, over 100 companies have been enabled to start using solar energy, thereby supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions in Indonesia. This achievement is not just about the capacity reached, but also a symbol of change. Eka Himawan, Managing Director of Xurya, said, "Every installed MW is highly meaningful. It is solid proof that Indonesia is moving in a better direction, towards a sustainable future." Since its establishment, Xurya has been committed to supporting the government’s energy transition and actively contributing to achieving the energy mix target of 25% by 2030. Not only has Xurya pioneered an innovative business model, but it has also led the way in using the Internet of Things (IoT) for remote monitoring and management of solar power plants (PLTS), as well as applying machine learning to optimize system performance. These innovations not only improve energy efficiency but also ensure greater reliability and safety for PLTS users. In addition to innovative technology and business models, collaboration has been a key factor in this achievement. Xurya has been able to efficiently and promptly execute projects through partnerships with over 150 local EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) partners. As part of its strategic approach, Xurya is also committed to continually empowering local human resources and building an ecosystem that supports the national energy transition. As part of this effort, in recent years, Xurya has partnered with various communities, educational institutions, and private sector entities to conduct technical training. This includes being one of the pioneers of the Solar Academy Indonesia, alongside Huawei Indonesia and JJ-Lapp Indonesia. "We believe that strong collaboration can accelerate the adoption of solar energy in Indonesia. Through synergy with partners and other stakeholders, I am confident that we will not only achieve the energy mix target by 2030, but also create a much more significant economic and environmental impact," added Eka. To date, Xurya has successfully garnered various national and international awards. In addition to being selected for Forbes Asia’s 100 Companies to Watch in 2023, Xurya has also achieved B Corp Certification in 2024, demonstrating its high standards in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) practices. Furthermore, Xurya received the 2024 ESG Award from the Kehati Foundation in the Best Impact Entrepreneur category. All of Xurya’s achievements have been made possible with the support of 100% local employees, totaling more than 100 people, spread across four major cities: Jakarta, Medan, Semarang, and Surabaya. Eka stated, “We believe that energy solutions for Indonesia must be created by Indonesians. The Xurya team is clear proof that this nation has the capacity to lead its own clean energy transition.” “This achievement is just the initial step in Xurya’s journey. Moving forward, we will continue to be pioneers in providing renewable energy solutions that are more affordable, innovative, and reliable. Our mission is to create a future where clean energy becomes the norm, not just an option," Eka concluded.
