Xurya, a renewable energy startup that pioneered the IDR 0,- method in financing solar rooftop systems (PLTS Atap), signed a cooperation agreement with PLN Icon Plus. This collaboration is a form of Xurya's commitment to supporting the government in achieving the zero carbon emissions target by 2060.

The cooperation agreement was signed by Eka Himawan as Managing Director of Xurya and Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi as Main Director of PLN Icon Plus. This signing was carried out on Wednesday (12/07) at the Indonesia EBTKE Conference and Exhibition (ConEx) 2023 event, which was held at ICE BSD City, Tangerang.

The contents of this cooperation agreement letter includes, but are not limited to, business collaboration plans for the use of EBT, provision of photovoltaic systems, energy management systems, carbon management, and renewable energy certification.

Eka Himawan, Managing Director of Xurya explained, "This collaboration is a form of Xurya's commitment to continue to encourage the use of NRE, especially PLTS Atap in Indonesia. We believe collaboration is one of the keys to realizing net zero emissions by 2060. So far, Xurya has actively collaborated with many parties, such as the government, industry players, organizations, and even universities. This collaborative effort with PLN Icon Plus is certainly an important step to strengthen cooperation in the development and implementation of renewable energy projects, especially PLTS  Atap in Indonesia."

Through this collaboration, Xurya and PLN Icon Plus will share their knowledge, technology, and resources to increase the efficiency and sustainability of the energy sector in Indonesia.

PLN Icon Plus will give access to Xurya to their infrastructure and distribution network, enabling the implementation of renewable energy projects quickly and effectively. PLN Icon Plus will also provide the regulatory and licensing support needed to secure these projects.

Both parties agree that this cooperation will contribute significantly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and accelerating the transition to clean energy in Indonesia. They are also committed to promoting the use of renewable energy and increasing public awareness about the importance of energy sustainability.

The signing of this cooperation agreement becomes an important milestone in the relationship between Xurya and PLN Icon Plus, and both parties hope to produce a positive impact in their joint efforts to develop innovative and sustainable renewable energy projects in Indonesia.

To date, Xurya has more than 100 PLTS Atap projects spread across Medan, Palembang, Lampung, West Java, Banten, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, Bali and Makassar. The Xurya Rooftop PLTS project is estimated to be able to produce more than 130 million kWh of clean energy and create more than 3,100 green jobs.
